Sir.
You haue beene kinde to me and to my countrymen this many yeares, I thanke you for it and will endeavour to shew the realitie of my thankefullnesse in some tokens according to my abilitie, I understand that Podivinus is to continue with you this winter and that you haue promised to giue him 5lb for his viaticum [which?] he gaue away, I understand that he wants shertes and bands for the present be pleased to giue him twenty or thirtie[altered] shillings in parte of that fiue pounde you promised him that he might provide himselefe such necesarie things, may be he will stay longer in England, what news from Mr Comenius I desire to heare. soe rest.
