Worthy Mr Hartlib/
    My last letter was but to make way for this & our future intercourse; comming not to towne my selfe this terme I was resolved not to delay Mr Comenius, & therefore now entreate you would deliver this inclosed vnto one Mr Ieffreis a Gentleman of Sir Christopher Hattons whom I haue desired to lay downe tenn pounds for mee which I give vnto Mr Comenius for the present: not doubting of Sir Christopher Hatton's doing the like, besides our endeavors for the procuring of some good thing for him; with our privat annuall contribution, if we may be assured of his stay amongst vs. I shall very gladly heare from him to whom with your selfe and Mr Hubner (with thanks for my booke) I now present my true respects & remaine
