Worthy Sir, I came be times in the Morning to the Lord Gray, who promised to doe his vttmost this afternoone att the Committee, but failing to come him selfe he sent to the Lord Howard who after I had spake with him, called Mr Lane vnto him and demaunded of him whether you had your monies paid and why it was not paid. He told him that it was this day to be argued [2 words deleted] for some abatement and as soone as the <rest of the> Monies (being a considerable somme) was paid in he would pay your Monies and jt is expected euery day and I have dealt so with Mr Lane that as soone as euer he receiues it he will send to you and will not part with any Monies till you be satisfied howsoeuer he shall not want calling vppon by the Lord Gray &c if he pay it not before Friday and <when> I shall againe attend there agayne, but I am confident he will make good his promise and so with my best Regards & kindest wisshes takes leave your most faithfull servaunt euer to be commaunded
