                    Mr. Dymock P.M. 16.March.
                                        1649.
I haue begun a Great Worke the finding out of such a Motion as shall want little of mooving constantly, and if it faile in that, shal make amends in the strenght it goes by, and the great ease and advantage that will accrew, if it can bee made to doe the Worke of 3. or 4. Horses with one to say no otherwise. In this Worke j haue already proceeded thus farre, that j daily finde more cause to hope to bring it to perfection by weight. And by water j want but very little of beeing fully assured, that j can make it worke in all places alike and for all great purposes as the draining of Meeres or Mines and forcing Mills of all sorts without any other helpe. Onely j confesse j canot promise how soone j can make the demonstration, as being liable to those obstructions that vsually hinder like attempts.
