To Mr Gataker.
Reverend & Worthy Sir
let it not seeme boldnes that vpon so little personal acquaintance j make my present addresses to your approved Piety and Love. The enclosed you see [is?] a case of Complaint which this morning was sent vnto mee from a Person of quality to get it speedily resolued. Sir j suppose j haue [sufficient?] [illeg.word] vpon an intreaty of that <[such?]> nature to seeke this fauor from your hands and j cannot but thinke you obliged to grant it seeing you haue taken vpon you (to say no more) the office of the Lord Christ part of which is to instruct the ignorant. And truly you haue written in <preach> vpon divers subjects by so [gracius?] a Spirit <in all your writings and sermons> as j cannot mistrust your willingnes to serue any that liues in the vnion of that Spirit with you. Sir you must know it requires great haste. For the Ladys condition requires a present [provision?] towards which shee may haue 200 of this debt presently if it bee lawful to take it and if not shee must trie some other way. Sir I beseech you [deletion] delay not
[7/27/26B]
with all possible <speed> to
R. Sir
your truly respectful & most affectionate
friend to serue you.
