Ausz Dreszden vom 7. 9bris. Anno 1634
Wegen des friedens wirdt so starckh discurrirt beydes von hofleuthen als auch von andern vornehmen Persohnen, auch mit solchen vmbstanden, dasz nuhnmehr daran im geringsten nit zu zweiflen, dasz der[altered] friedt im gewisz geschloszen vnd volzogen seÿ, die Kaÿserlichen Gesandten sollen alles fast eintanten sein, bewilliget vnd subscribirt, darneben auch sich verpflichtet haben, die Kaÿserliche Confirmation ehist zuverschaffen der herr Landtgraf, der geheime Rath Milditz, der CammerRath D. dòhringh, vnd der hofRath Opol befinden [anjetzo?] [illeg. alteration]heit noch zu Pirna deren zurückhkunft morgen beschehen soll, als dan man auch die puncta vernehmen vnd bekommen wirdt, Gott helfe dasz es ein bestendiger Friedt seÿ vnd pleibe, vnd den Evangelischen Stònden zum besten gereichen möge, worauf dann auch Ihre Churfürstliche Durchlaucht mit gewalt gedrungen, vnd auszer deszen, alles vollendts sonsten daran zu setzen sich eÿferigh erklòrt haben, vnd stehet darauf dasz mit dem eingehenden Newen Iahr ein [ConcilatsTagh?] zu Leibzigh oder Mulhauszen Iedermenniglich zum besten gehalten werden sollen. [left margin, second hand:] The Lord has made some provision for those of Norimberg. For hee gaue them grace in the eyes of Commander of Forcheim, who for a certain recompence granted passage not only for theyr merchants unto Leipzig, but allso for greate store[altered] of granes et 1800 polonian oxens.
The whole Bishoprike of Bremen is full of souldiers. The meeting of Canonics lasts as yet, et no Bishop is as yet choosen, but shall bee befor the end of september. Some say Counte Oldenburg makes readie for to marrie a certain Countess of Nassau. The troubles et [bottom of page:] divisions between the towne of Embden et the Earle of Eastfrisland begin to glister again et to bee renewed.

                     Low-countries.
1. There is a noise that motions are made in Fraunce for to call home the Queenemother again. Et it seems shee will hearken unto a treatie, et will rather let behind her so much beloued et defended Chantelouppe, then stay behind her selfs. 2. The officers of Brabant haue a meeting for to bring up mony. 3 The Cardinall spends his time in hunting, maskes et statesplayes. 4. Sir Porter an English Knight is arrived from King England for to congratulate the Cardinall. 5. Count John of Nassau is as yet in the field with 3000 horse, whether hee is to goe into Germanie or not, is not yet known. 6. Bishop of Mecheln came vnto Cardinall. Told him that the Infanta Isabella in the our of her death had charged him to tell Cardinall that he must by no meanes contemne the counsells of the Nederlandish Lords, et adheere only to the Spaniards[altered] in gouverning of those countries. This having don hee craved pardon, ptending <that> hee must discharge his conscience. 7. Cardinall will give no pasports for travelers, but with mentioning the word of rebells. 8. There are 700 new souldiers come into Mastright. 9. Publike proclamation is made that the companies must bee readie towards Februarie. 10. The States of Holland are as yet congregated, continually busie about meanes of mony. 11. The ambassadours at Paris have sent hether their secretarie with letters, but his commission is secret.
