Regiment dahin gangen, vnd das Herzog Bernhard von Weinmar auff aviso, dz die Kaÿserische mit ganzer macht ausz Francken kemen, sich ausz der Wetterau naher Caszheim, vnd von dar vber[umlaut on v] den Maÿn ins [Gerawer?] land sich retirirt, vmb da mit dem [Rheingrauen?] sich zu coniungiren, vndt mit 6000. Franzosen vnder Obristen Hebrons commando eine armee von 25. Tausent Mann zu formiren. Die Kaÿszerlichen haben die ganze Bergstraszen wider occupirt, vnd lauffen die Crabaten bisz an Saxenhausen vnd Gustavburg: Vom fried zu <mit> Sachsen, weisz man zu Franckfurt nit viel, wirdt auch nit viel dauon gehalten. Die ausz Minden gezogene guarnison 1800 Köpf, als sie nach Münster vnd Warendorff passiren sollen, verlieffen der mehrentheil für dem flusz hinweg. Die Kaÿserlichen ausz Linen seind nach Kaÿserswerth gezogen. Brieff vom 25. ausz lipstat melden, dz die Heszische vnd Lunenburgische sich coniungiret vnd nach Hessen marchiren. <vnd> Brief von Caszel melden, dz die Crabaten im Stifft Fulda geschlagen mit verliehrung 16. Cornet. ist aber zweifelich. Vor etlichen tagen ist die Iunge Princeszin von Neüburg gestorben. Neoburgiens hatt ordinantz geben, weil er von den Rentmeistern nirgend geld aufbringen kan, dz die Soldatesca an denen orthen, da Sie ligen, von den vnderthanen bezalt werden sollen. Welches bösen willen machet.

From Germanie wee gete <guet> but [little?]

I. The Imperialists haue taken Heidelberg, but not the castle, pillaged et killed all. The Shwedish do nothing. they dare not trust the Fraunce.

II. Augsburgh is very seeke et most like to come into the Imperiall hands.

III Saxon doth besiege Kemnitz, et useth hostilitie against the Imperialists.

IV The Croats beaten neare Eisenach by the Hassians are no more but some 300.

V. Lunenburgh having put his owne guarde to guarrison into Minden, with 5 regiments marched over the brige at Bremen, et goes for to bee arbiter of the Canonicals which are congregated at Verden to choose a new Bishop. For hee having some prætension unto this bishoprike, will take possession of it by force et let them choose who they will. No doubt this will bring new trouble with Dennemark.

VI. The countrie about the Elb, newly by that greate inundation set under water, et sence freeed again in som places, is now[altered] so full of serpents et venemous insects, that no man can abide in it.

VII In Westphalia Melander with his troupes is marching, no doubt but towards Rhin, to trie somwhat in the absence of all the Liguistish.

VIII. Low-countries: 1. Count Jahn of Nassaw has brought together som 36 cornets of hors, et either is to goe with them into Germanie, or to attempt somwhat heer, becaause the rivers are as yet of no depht. Wherefor the Hollandish horses allso are gon forth from the frontier townes. 2. The guarrison of Mastright was mustered, beeing in number 90000 foot et 10 cornets of horse. All is [very?] very cheap in it, et those of Liege haue gotten freedom to bring victels into it by paiing some custoume. There is a speech that the states et Franshe are treating about a change, namly to giue Mastright to the Franshe et Cales to the Hollanders, which is commodious for them against the Duinkerks.     XXX
