Humbly showeth to your worships that whereas your poor petitioner's husband Ralph Worsley of Manchester hath continued since Lent Assizes last the Gaol of Lancaster, and your poor petitioner being charged with four small children and also in Relieving her husband and so overcharged that she is not able to live, having little or no work stirring whereby she might get a poor living and therefore your petitioner is forced to crave your good worships to grant her a licence to brew until the next Assizes at which time she is in good hope her husband will be loosed out of prison, and so doing your poor petitioner shall be bounden with her four small children to pray for your worship's health long life and happy days long to continue.
