I understand that the Constable of Dalton did the last Sessions present Ralph Taylor for an unlicenced alehouse which he did because coming to his house when he was from home it was not showed him never demanding of Taylor himself in whose keeping it was. He is all the alehouses that shall be in Dalton and were it not that it is the house where the town usually hath and doth meet about all the public business he should not be an alehouse nor any other in that Town. Now for as much as the presentment was made upon a mistake and the indictment thereupon I desire you to be [amenable] that the fine may very easy at the request of your very loving friend.
