Showeth that whereas your petitioner's house hath been a licenced house for the selling of ale and beer for the space of twenty years last past and upward and hath behaved herself according to the law in that case provided and she now being old and having little wherewith to maintain herself is forced to make use of selling of ale, for her relief. Your petitioner therefore humbly prayeth that you would be pleased to grant her a licence for to keep an alehouse she behaving herself according to the laws of this Commonwealth and she as in duty bound will ever pray for your worship's health and happiness.
