Humbly showeth that your petitioner living at Streetgate aforesaid hath hitherto during the space of a year or thereabouts kept an alehouse there as he your petitioner knoweth and can inform your Worships of a long and ancient licence of the same and can bring evidence that the house where he your petitioner now dwelleth hath been an alehouse fourscore years, before your petitioner came to dwell there and that your petitioner's grandfather and and his father did keep the same alehouse during the said term aforesaid, your humble petitioner doth therefore desire your Worships Order being that your petitioner is unlicenced as yet, and for the present not ordered for to keep the same by any authority, and that your Worships would be pleased to provide your petitioner some means and may for his relief the premises being well considered and he will daily pray for your Worships' health and happiness.
