We whose names are subscribed certify all whom it may concern that Thomas Askwith of Pendle Forest in the County of Lancashire alehousekeeper and Margaret his wife keepeth a very lewd and disordered tippling alehouse and suffereth men's sons servants and apprentices to continue tippling and drinking there upon the Lord's Day during time of divine service and divers other unlawful times and seasons and that the said Thomas frequenteth himself with drunkenness and divers other dangerous and debauched charges all which we thought good to certify... whereof we have hereunto put our hands the day and year... above written.
