Project Description

HRI Digital and the School of English are working with Sensoria Festival to develop a mobile application which provides users with access to a location-based guide to Sheffield’s musical heritage. The app builds upon Sensoria’s already successful website called Uncommon People which invites the public to submit footage, photos and anecdotal memories.

Whilst developing the mobile application, the HRI and Sensoria are ensuring that the system can be used by other content creators for other types of location-based guides. When finished, other projects, organisations and individuals will be able to apply for an account on the system, add their own content and generate their own mobile application. The project already has a number of interested content creators.
